Lynn Gelatka I have been dancing for over 25 years and have extensive training in tap, ballet, modern, jazz, pointe, lyrical and hip-hop. I received my B.S. degree in chemistry with a minor in dance & mathematics from the University of Kentucky. I was vice-president of University of Kentuckys Dance Ensemble. I have choreographed many routines for the semi-annual ensemble shows where I won an outstanding choreography award for the 75th anniversary program.
After college I attended dance classes in Chicago and was part of a professional dance team, DanzForce, where we competed both in UDA and NDA competitions. Our team won a US Championship, and became first-runner up as National Champion.
This is my 6th year in business, but my 13th year in teaching dance education. I have taught at various dance studios and dance classes both in Illinois and Indiana; I have choreographed and taught technique classes to different studio dance teams throughout Indiana and Illinois. This is my 9th year as a technique judge for Illinois Drill Team Association and I am also Special Events Officer of the organization. Recently, I have co-founded a summer dance workshop/competition, Push the Limit, where I have been working with professionals from "So You Think You Can Dance" like Mollee Grey, Thayne Jasperson, and Kyle Hill. I have also had the privilege to work with Tokyo and a NYC Rockette Dani Betchel. My expertise in judging and dance has taken me all over the country including New York, Missouri and California. I love teaching dance and I'm honored to be a part of your child's dance education.
Lindsey Beebe I began training at age 8 and instantly fell in love with the art form. As I grew up, I was given the opportunity to teach and realized how much I enjoyed sharing my passion with others. My best asset as a dance teacher is my love for artistry and expression. I believe good technique is the important thing, but I most enjoy taking young dancers to the next level by helping them find the breath, emotion, and movement quality behind the steps. I am 25 years old and have been teaching dance for the last 9 years including the disciplines of ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and beginning adult classes. I have my Bachelors in Fine Arts in Dance from Wichita State University, majoring in Musical Theater. I have extensive experience with recital choreography and recital planning. I have also done quite a bit of freelance choreography for musicals and performances for high school students. Currently, I am on scholarship at Joel Hall & Dancers in Chicago, IL.
Tracy Hallberg I have been dancing for 18 years and graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a B.A. in Dance. I am trained in ballet, pre-pointe, pointe, modern, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. While attending Columbia I had the privilege to work with Jeff Hancock, Reggie Wilson, and more. I also had the opportunity to take master classes with members from Merce Cunningham Company, Alvin Ailey Company, Joe Goode, Urban Bush Women, and many more. I enjoy working with children and love to further their knowledge through the gift of dance. Dance is a huge part of my life and I am excited to share my dance knowledge with my students. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and dancing away. See you all in the fall.
Trish Moran (Ms. Trish) I have over 25 years of dance experience with a background in tap, jazz, ballet, tumble, adult classes and hip hop, but my true passion is teaching toddlers how to dance. I have instructed at various studios in both Illinois and Indiana for the past 10 years. This will be my 5th year working at Lynn Maries studio teaching various classes and choreographing for the Rising Stars dance team. I am heavily involved in the Beecher community, was just elected President of the PTO and promote the dance studio and its dancers through community organized events like the Chalk Walk and Hot Chocolate routine for the school reading night. I am passionate about dance and excited about starting another year together!
Sheri Aardema I have over 20 years of gymnastics experience. My first job was at the early age of 15 when I was an assistant instructor for Gymnastics Plus in Lansing, IL. When the owner moved, she handed me over the business where I have been running Gymnastics Fun for the past 16 years. I have a passion for the art of tumbling, my daughter is currently a level 7 competitive gymnast and my other 2 girls are on the dance team at Lynn Maries. I have taken to other interests such as fitness and aerobics and currently teach ladies exercise classes, and TaeBo at various fitness locations in Illinois and Indiana. I am excited about helping the tumbling classes again at the studio and look forward to meeting you all!
